committee on public accounts, has resigned his membership of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmaker, who represents Obokun/Oriade federal
constituency in Osun state, announced his resignation in a letter addressed to
the PDP chairman in Ward 7, Obokun LGA.
The six-term legislator said that his decision followed
consultations with political associates, family, and friends.
“I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my
Membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect,” the
letter reads.
“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with
my political associates, family and friends.
“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good
faith.”
Oke also copied the national, state, and chairmen of the PDP
in the letter.
The lawmaker, however, did not disclose which political
platform he intends to align with.
