A building on Oremeta street in the Ojodu-Berger area of
Lagos has caved in.
The building, which houses the popular EqualRight
restaurant, reportedly collapsed at about 8am on Saturday.
An eyewitness disclosed that many people are still trapped
beneath the rubble of the “uncompleted four-storey” structure.
“An uncompleted 4-storey building, housing the popular
EqualRight Restaurant in Ojodu Berger has collapsed with many people trapped
under the rubble,” the text from the eyewitness reads.
Security personnel and first responders have arrived at the
scene.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) is yet
to provide information about the incident at the time of filing this report.
Building collapse incidents are commonplace in densely
populated Lagos.
