Natasha Osawaru, the Edo state lawmaker, has added 2Baba’s surname to her name on Instagram.
Natasha has been in the spotlight since 2Baba announced his
split from Annie Idibia in January and his new relationship with her a few days
later.
In February, the ‘African Queen’ singer proposed to her
while insisting their relationship had nothing to do with his separation from
Annie.
Checks on Sunday showed that the lawmaker has updated her Instagram bio to include 2Baba’s surname.
She now identifies as “Honourable Natasha IDIBIA” in her
bio, with the surname in all caps, though her username still reads “Honourable
Osawaru”.
Natasha’s change of name comes days after Annie dropped the
singer’s surname and reverted to her maiden name, identifying as “Annie Uwana
Macaulay”.
Rose Idibia, 2Baba’s mother, had publicly pleaded with
Natasha to leave her son alone.
She also asked her to “remove the beads you placed on his
hands and neck”, arguing that the singer was not in his right senses.
Natasha, however, argued that the beads were symbols of her
family’s royalty.
She further clarified that she did not give 2Baba the beads,
but rather he liked them and wore them of his own accord.
