Former member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad
Gudaji Kazaure, has voiced his frustration over the lack of recognition for his
anti-corruption efforts, lamenting that despite exposing financial misconduct,
authorities have failed to take action.
In a viral video following his visit to former Vice
President Atiku Abubakar, Kazaure emphasized the need for political unity in
addressing Nigeria’s mounting challenges. He disclosed that prior to meeting
Atiku, political elders gathered to deliberate on national issues, stressing
that many politicians had abandoned the country’s development agenda.
“We gathered before visiting him because we believe all
politicians must come together to find a lasting solution,” he stated.
Kazaure, who representedKazaure/Roni/Gwiwa/Yankwashi Constituency of Jigawa State in the 9th National Assembly, expressed disappointment over the government’s silence on his corruption allegations.
“We have spoken out about corruption. We have revealed
cases, but nothing has happened. Nobody has invited me, nobody has called me,
and nobody even knows if I exist,” he lamented.
Despite his grievances, Kazaure reiterated his commitment to
working with patriotic politicians across party lines.
“We don’t care which party anyone belongs to. Wherever our
elders direct us, we are ready to follow,” he affirmed.
He also commended Atiku for his leadership, describing him
as a father figure who prioritizes the welfare of Nigerians.
Calling on political leaders to unite in addressing the
country’s challenges, Kazaure declared, “This is a journey for all our
political elders. Nigeria comes first, second, and third. We are ready to save
this country in any way possible.”
