The United States of America Department of Government Efficiency, on Thursday, officially launched its website, doge.gov.
In a statement on X, the agency led by billionaire Elon Musk said that details of its activities will be released on its website henceforth.
“X feed posts; consolidated government org chart—enormous manual effort consolidating 16,000+ offices; summary of the massive regulatory state, including the Unconstitutionality Index (ratio of rules written by unelected bureaucrats to laws passed by Congress),” DOGE statement on X partly reads.
Reacting to the DOGE website launch, Musk wrote on X, “Details of cost savings will be posted here.”.
US President Donald Trump had backed DOGE and reviewed several government agencies’ spending.
Accordingly, the US International Development Agency, Treasury Department, and other federal agencies have been reviewed to uncover wastage.
Consequently, Trump on Wednesday fired the Independent Inspector General for USAID, Paul Martin, amid accusations of fraudulent activities at the agency in the past years.
We reports that Trump had charged DOGE to review more agencies to cut the costs of governance in the US.
