Bashir Ahmad, former media aide to ex-President Mohammadu Buhari, has slammed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, over his consistent criticism of the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government.
Obi had on several occasions, tackled the All Progressives
Congress, APC, administration over some policies perceived to be unfavourable
to Nigerians.
In a post on his official X handle on Tuesday, Ahmad said
Obi’s antecedents do not match his current claims.
According to Ahmad, there was no tangible progress in
Anambra State when Obi served as governor of the state for eight years.
He wrote, “If Peter Obi truly embodies the transformative
leader he has been struggling to portray, he could have demonstrated it during
his eight years as governor by turning Anambra into a model of good governance
in Nigeria.
“However, he achieved nothing during his time. He left
Anambra without any tangible progress or a legacy to his name.”
