Two separate explosions have rocked some communities in Dansadau district, Maru LGA of Zamfara state.
The explosives went off along Malele and Dansadau-Malamawa
roads.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency
publication, the explosives severely impacted the communities. Casualty figures
remain clear as of the time of filing this report.
This is the third such explosion in Zamfara in a week.
On Wednesday, eight people were killed when an explosive
tore through the Gusau-Dansadau bridge, destroying a Golf car.
The Zamfara police command had said members of the Lakurawa
terrorist group were responsible for the bombing.
The Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) condemned the bombing of
the bridge.
Last Sunday, gunmen detonated a device planted at Mai Gamme
bridge, ahead of a planned attack on residents of the Ungwan Galadima
community, in Maru LGA.
