The supreme court has affirmed the re-election of Hope Uzodimma as governor of Imo state.
In a judgment on Friday, a five-member panel of the court
dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its
candidate, Samuel Anyanwu.
The panel unanimously agreed that the appeal was without
merit and all the issues were resolved in favour of the governor.
The court also dismissed the appeal of the Labour Party (LP)
and its candidate, Athan Achonu for lacking merit.
