As normalcy gradually returns to Kano following the conclusion of the #EndBadGovernance protests, the State Government has lifted the curfew it imposed on the city.
Violence rocked Kano during the protests, with property worth billions of naira destroyed and looted by irate mobs.
The government slammed a 24 hours curfew on the city as a result of the development, and later reduced it to 6:00 am to 6:00 pm to allow opportunity for business activities.
In a statement on the Facebook page of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Monday, his media Aide, Salisu Yahya Hotoro, announced that the State Government is convinced that peace has returned to the city, necessitating the need to lift the curfew.
“The 24 hours curfew slammed on Kano, has been effectively lifted as peace has completely returned to the city,” the statement declared.
