Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed Taiwo Awoniyi is nursing an injury again.
Awoniyi struggled to stay on his feet for most of last season.
The 27-year-old missed Forest’s maiden pre-season game against Chesterfield on Saturday.
Santo has now confirmed the striker is down with a calf injury.
“He (Awoniyi) had a problem in the first training session of the week. Let’s see how long it takes,” Santo was quoted by Nottingham Post.
“It was something in his calf. Unfortunately not (for today). Hopefully, he doesn’t miss too much of pre-season. For all of them, it (pre-season) is important, and more so for Taiwo.”
