Christy Ucheibe has said the Super Falcons must convert their chances if they must beat Japan in their Group C clash at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Super Falcons failed to hit target in their opening two games against Brazil and Spain despite creating a number of clear cut scoring opportunities.
Randy Waldrum’s side must beat Japan to have any hope of progressing to the quarter-finals, either via goal difference in second, or from third spot.
Ucheibe is optimistic the Super Falcons can scale through the hurdle but insisted they must do better in front of goal.
“There’s hope that we can still qualify. I think we need to utilize our chances against our opponents,” the Benfica midfielder said ahead of the game.
“We must do everything right when we get to the final third, we need to be more clinical in front of goal.”
Tonight’s at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes will kick-off at 4pm.
