The presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 Nigerian elections rated President Bola Tinubu "Excellent" after the Nigerian president marked his first year in office on June 12th, 2024.

According to Obi, "Tinubu throughout the campaign period, he consistently maintained that he continue from where Buhari stopped, and that he has done very well, I will say excellent, I will give him a pass mark"
He continued.
"Dollar was N460, it's now N1500, fuel was N238/L, It's now about N700/L, Diesel was N844, it's now N1,415, a bag of rice that was N30,000 is now about N80,000, Garri was N28,000, it's now N50,000, so he kept his campaign promises to continue from where Buhari stopped"
