President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said on Wednesday that frontline activist, Aisha Yesufu is bitter and toxic over the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
Onanuga said Yesufu is bitter that the presidential
candidate she supported, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, came third.
He was reacting to Yesufu’s remark over South African
President Cyril Ramaphosa’s action against Tinubu during his inauguration.
In a video of his inauguration, Ramaphosa ignored Tinubu
while greeting other leaders in a straight line.
Commenting on the video, Yesufu wrote: “My people say Pikin
wey no hear word for house na for outside dem go disgrace am! Tinubu disgraced
once again in South Africa.”

Reacting, Onanuga described Yesufu and her followers as
uncouth and pessimists.
Posting on X, Onanuga wrote: “Aisha and her uncouth horde of
pessimists are always quick to rush to judgment with any whiff of what appears
to them to be negative to the leader of Africa’s biggest democracy.
“More than a year after the 2023 election, in which their
candidate came third, they remain incurably bitter and toxic, more than the
supporters of the man who came second.”
