Terrorists can’t hide them for long – Shehu Sani on kidnapped 280 pupils

Former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani, on Monday, suggested that it would be difficult to hide over 200 kidnapped pupils without being detected using the best of technology.

Sani explained that Kaduna does not have thick forests and lies on the Savanna geographical belt like most northern states of Nigeria, making it difficult for them to be hidden.

Recall that no less than 280 school pupils were abducted from their school by terrorists in Kuriga, Kaduna State.

Sani, in a post on his X handle, said the terrorists have limited options, adding that the pupils’ freedom will be secured.

He wrote: “Kaduna, like most northern states of Nigeria, lies on the Savanna geographical belt. We don’t have thick forests where over 200 pupils can be hidden without being detected using the best of technology. Locating them is one thing and the next challenge is the thought of the consequences of the use of force to rescue them. I believe that the defence and security agencies are weighing on the best and safest ways. The terrorists have limited options. I’m optimistic that the pupils’ freedom will be secured.”
