Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged the Labour Party, LP, 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to support President Bola Tinubu.
Sule said politics was over, hence, Obi should use his wealth of experience and expertise in supporting Tinubu in tackling the development challenges confronting the nation.
He made the call while receiving Obi at the state’s Government House in Lagos on Monday.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Addra, Sule reminded Obi that there is time for politics and time for governance.
Sule said: “I want to also call on you, sir, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The country’s challenges cannot be resolved by one person alone. We all have roles to play.”
Responding, Obi commended Governor Sule for several new roads constructed in the state.
He added, “When I was coming today, I saw some new roads and construction, so congratulations. Politics is not always about thinking negatively, but we should acknowledge things that are positive.”
