Infinix on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel in Lagos brought together key tech influencers, celebrities, and select media houses, to officially launch its highly anticipated NOTE40 series in the Nigerian market. The event showcased the technological advancements embodied in the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro and also highlighted Infinix's commitment to elevating user experiences through innovation.

The Note 40 series marks a significant milestone for Infinix, with the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro models setting new standards in smartphone design, performance, and camera technology. The Note 40 Pro offers a rapid 70W All-Round FastCharge 2.0 complemented by a 20W Wireless MagCharge, ensuring users can power up their devices in record time. The 3D-curved 120Hz AMOLED Display not only offers stunning visuals but also houses an in-display fingerprint sensor for seamless security. Photography enthusiasts will be thrilled with the 108MP OIS Super-Zoom Camera, promising unparalleled clarity and stability in every shot.

Oluwayemisi Ode, the PR and Communications Manager for Infinix Nigeria, highlighted the significance of the Note 40 series: "The Infinix Note 40 series is more than just a smartphone; it's a testament to our commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology that meets the ever-evolving needs of our users. As we unveil this groundbreaking device today, we're excited to share with you its unique features designed to empower and inspire".

Performance-wise, the Note 40 Pro is equipped with the Helio G99 Ultimate chipset and up to 24GB Extended RAM, delivering smooth, responsive performance across all applications. The dual speakers, fine-tuned by JBL, ensure an immersive audio experience, complementing the device's impressive display.

Not to be outdone, the Note 40 boasts a 45W All-Round FastCharge 2.0 and 20W Wireless MagCharge, alongside a generous 5000mAh battery. Its AMOLED display, with a high refresh rate of 120Hz and innovative Active Halo Design AI lighting, adds a touch of sophistication to notifications and calls.

With a 108MP OIS main camera, the Note 40 enables users to capture life's moments in breathtaking detail. Additional camera modes, such as Super Night and Portrait Mode, allow for creative experimentation in various lighting conditions.

A key highlight of the Note 40 series launch was the introduction of the Cheetah X1 chip, Infinix's first self-developed power management chip. This chip is a game-changer, serving as the foundation for the new All-Round FastCharge 2.0 technology. It combines three powerful modules into one compact chip, offering optimized charging efficiency across eight different scenarios.

Announcing their partnership, the Head of Marketing, Showmax Nigeria, Arinola Shobande announced that buyers of Infinix NOTE 40 from now till the 31st of March 2024 will enjoy 3-month subscription plan free of charge and while those who buy any Infinix smartphone will enjoy three months of Showmax subscription at a discounted rate of N8500, down from the initial price of N12,500.

Commenting on his experience with the Note 40 Pro, Izzy Boye, a Tech enthusiast, lauded the device for its outstanding features. “I have had the Note 40 Pro for a week now and I’ve seen some impressive features. If you go through TikTok, you’d see how everyone is complaining that the newly released Call of Duty game is making their phone so hot, but using Infinix Note 40 Pro, it didn’t get as hot as other phones I tried to play the game on. It’s quite impressive compared to other phones bought at this price range. This is one of the best phones Infinix has had in a while and it’s commendable,” said Boye.

Infinix's Note 40 series includes several models (NOTE 40, NOTE 40 Pro, NOTE 40 Pro 5G, and the NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G), but in Nigeria, only the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro have been launched. The Note 40, with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM, is priced at NGN 327,900 and is available in Obsidian Black and Titan Gold. The Note 40 Pro, also with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM, is available for NGN 396,900 in Titan Gold and Vintage Green. Both models are available on the EasyBuy platform, providing users with flexible payment options.
