Tinubu’s administration is overwhelmed, he should get help — Kola Ologbondiyan

Kola Olgbondiyan, former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says President Bola Tinubu’s administration is overwhelmed.

Speaking during an interview on Arise Television on Tuesday night, Ologbondiyan advised the president to seek for help in tackling the country’s enormous challenges.

He said the scale of corruption being witnessed under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) never occurred under the PDP.

“The Peoples Democratic Party emanates from the people themselves. It is the party that belongs to the people and the party is representational of the views and opinions of the Nigerian people,” Ologbondiyan said.

“Tinubu’s government is overwhelmed. It needs help. And I have brought out the fact that in time past, that when the country finds herself in a situation like this, the leadership goes out to look for those Nigerians who have the ability and the capacity; the knowledge to make a difference.

“You don’t sit in there and say you know it all and throw the country into crisis.

“It is disturbing that within eight months, the president is being mugged all over the social media for failure of policies.”

The former PDP spokesperson said the APC is being dishonest for saying opposition parties are the ones sponsoring protests over economic hardship in the country.

“They are being dishonest. And that is why Nigerians by themselves are coming out to say that nobody is sponsoring… look, do you need to sponsor hunger?

“Can anybody sponsor hunger? As we are seated here now, if you and I are hungry, does it require the person out of here to tell us that we are hungry?”

‘OSHIOMOLE PLAYING POLITICS OF CONVENIENCE’

Adams Oshiomole, former governor of Edo state, while speaking in an interview on Channels Television on Sunday, said Tinubu should not be held responsible for the right or wrong decisions taken by the previous administration.

He said Nigerians are still suffering the “consequences” of the “reckless” policies of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Reacting, Ologbondiyan said the former Edo governor always plays the politics of convenience.

“Comrade is always playing the politics of convenience. When Buhari was in government, he said Jonathan was responsible for the pains. It was convenient for him,” Ologbondiyan said.

“Now that Buhari is out of it and his friend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in charge, he said it is Buhari. That is not honesty to the people.

“And for a man who has been in the leadership of labour, I would expect him to say look, we have a challenge.”

  1. I think reversing subsidy removal alone and turning away from IMF policies on Naira can restore hope. Nigerians are giving all their earnings to transport sector either in moving self or goods from one place to another. The equation no balance
