Amid concerns around the delay of federal government
workers’ January salaries, the Accountant General of the Federation, Mrs
Oluwatoyin Madein, said payment will commence on Thursday.
The Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of
the Accountant General, Bawa Mokwa, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
According to him, the glitch experienced with the Government
Integrated Financial Management System, GIFMIS, platform has been resolved, and
workers will start receiving January salaries.
“We have sorted out the issue, and workers will start receiving their payment starting this Thursday evening,” he said.
