Isaac Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti State Governor
Ayodele Fayose, has urged President Bola Tinubu to implement a measure restricting
individual domiciliary accounts to a maximum of $1,000.
Fayose proposed this as a means of addressing the
depreciation of the naira.
In a video shared on his official Facebook account, he
proposed the auctioning of excess dollars of $1,000 in the accounts of former
governors, including his brother, as a measure to address the depreciation of
the naira.
His words: “The President should come to the television
addressing Nigerians and order that any private domiciliary account that has
more than $1,000 will be seized or auctioned and replaced with naira.
“All individuals, including myself, my brother, and all the
former governors that have dollars stored, auction their dollars and change it
to naira."
