Nigeria’s vice-president, Kashim Shettima will be in attendance when the Super Eagles take on the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Shettima jetted into Cote d’Ivoire on the eve of the team’s
semi-final victory against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The country’s number two citizen watched the game live at
the Stade de la Paix, Bouake.
The former senator celebrated with the players and their
officials in the dressing room after the game.
According to SCORENigeria, Shettima will head a powerful
Presidential delegation for Sunday’s decider slated for the Alassanne Quattara
Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.
He is expected to be accompanied by a number of top
government officials.
