Daniel Bwala, a media aide to the 2023 Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has urged President Bola
Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the National Assembly to urgently
address the migration of Nigerians abroad.
Bwala lamented that staff of universities and medical
practitioners are migrating abroad in droves owing due to poor, unpaid
salaries, and working conditions.
Posting on X, Bwala disclosed that Nigerians who are
frustrated by the poor working conditions of the country are leaving their jobs
and migrating abroad.
According to Bwala: “Frustration and mass resignation hitting
public universities due to japa-risation.
“The reasons advanced are “poor and delayed salaries, unpaid
allowances, poor infrastructure and lack of respect for the academic community.
“Hospitals short staffed due to Doctors and nurses
Japa-risation to UAE, Canada, US and UK. Now University lecturers follow suit.
“It’s been ongoing for ages in the private sector, no one
cared, now it is hitting the public sector (critical to national security.
“This must be addressed as a matter of emergency, not urgency
@officialABAT @KashimSM @nassnigeria @HouseNGR.”
