President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Siminalayi
Fubara, governor of Rivers, Peter Odili, former governor of the state, and
other stakeholders at the presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting follows the face-off between the governor and
his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT).
Vice-President Kashim Shettima and Ngozi Odu, Rivers deputy
governor, are present at the meeting.
Earlier, Wike was seen at the State House.
Over the past few weeks, Fubara and Wike have been at
loggerheads over control of the political structure of Rivers state.
The feud between the duo snowballed to the Rivers house of
assembly, causing factions in the state’s legislature.
At least nine commissioners have resigned from the cabinet
of Fubara amid the political crisis.

Simi Fubara & Wike are still members of PDP. Officially, Wike is still in PDP. PDP is an opposition party and one then wonders where their leaders have gone to and allowed their governor to sign his death warrant. This is very unfortunate and unhealthy for our democracy.
