Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna; and Sanusi
Lamido, ex-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); on Friday paid a
condolence visit to families affected by the military air strike in the state.
On December 2, many residents of Tudun Biri in Igabi LGA of
Kaduna were killed in air strikes said to be targeted at terrorists.
According to multiple reports, the death toll from the
incident was over 120 while scores were left badly injured.
The Nigerian Army has accepted responsibility for the
incident, stating that its troops were on a routine mission against terrorists
when the “mistake” occurred.
The former Kaduna governor also visited survivors of the
incident currently receiving treatment at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital.
