Kate Henshaw says she is not a fan of Davido, the Afrobeats
star, because he “did not greet” her.
The actress was speaking in a recent episode of the With
Chude podcast.
She recalled how the Afropop singer once failed to
acknowledge her when they met.
Henshaw highlighted the importance of a good personality.
She said she is old enough and deserves to be respected.
“I am not a fan. I like his music but, personally, I don’t
know him. I have met him and he did not greet me,” she said.
“I am sorry, no I am not sorry. I am old enough. He did not
greet me. And I believe he should be respectful.”
Henshaw, however, commended Davido for his charitable
contribution towards people in need.
“For me, personality matters and it draws people closer to
you. Yes, he has done a lot of good,” she added.
“He is unapologetically Nigerian and he has flown the flag
without fear or favour outside the shores.”
Kate Henshaw, now aged 52, ventured into the movie industry
almost three decades ago.
She shot into the limelight for her role in the 1993 movie
‘When the Sun Sets’.
The fitness enthusiast has established herself as a
prominent name in the Nigerian movie industry.
Davido, on the other hand, was born on November 21, 1992, in
Atlanta, Georgia.
He rose to fame in 2012, after the release of ‘Omo Baba
Olowo’, his debut studio album.
With multiple awards to his name, Davido is considered one
of the prominent individuals in African music.
On November 10, the singer secured three nominations for the
2024 Grammy Awards.
