The Chief Press Secretary, to the governor, Mr Emmanuel Ogbeche, revealed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Calabar on Wednesday.

The statement, however, said those on essential services were exempted from this holiday.

The workers are expected back at their duty posts on Jan. 3, 2024.
