Yul Edochie, the actor, has tackled Rufai Oseni, the TV
journalist, over his altercation with Jesutega Onokpasa, a member of the
defunct APC presidential campaign council.
The drama started on Monday after an interview by Oseni, who
is the co-host of the Arise TV’s ‘The Morning Show’, resulted in a heated
argument with Onokpasa on live TV.
Oseni had asked Onokpasa, who is an avid supporter of
President Bola Tinubu’s administration, to share his opinion on the petrol
subsidy removal.
A heated war of words would later ensue between the pair, with Onokpasa berating Oseni for “raising his voice at me”.

Reacting to the development, Edochie, in a video shared via
his Instagram account, urged Oseni to shut up, describing him as a very
disrespectful person.
He also said the anchor, who was caught driving on a BRT
lane in Lagos, lacks the moral justification to talk with people of integrity.
Edochie said: “My friend shut up and sit down! I’m talking
to you! You have no right, you don’t have any moral justification to talk where
people with integrity are talking! You are talking nonsense on national TV, you
are a very disrespectful person, you have no respect for the laws of this
country! In fact if someone like you becomes president, you will wipe out
Nigerians. Are you not the same person that was caught driving on BRT lane? You
could not even apologise, if not because somebody had a video, that was when
you came on national TV to apologise. This is what you do, imagine the other
ones that we’ve not seen before. Who taught you journalism? The first thing
they should have taught you is to respect your guests.
“You are not better than anybody out there. You are a very
disrespectful person and you should go and learn journalism, you are insulting
people on national TV.
“Same Rufai Oseni that is insulting people, acting like God
on national TV, making your guests very uncomfortable, you dey form like na you
get Nigeria, you are the most concerned citizen, you are more concerned than
all of us, my friend shut up! You have no moral justification to talk to
anybody on TV that way because you’re not better than any Nigerian.”

I see nothing abnormal about the journalist's questions. Nigerian politicians just rant and rage when you confront them with the truth. Take him now to court and he will become cripple
ReplyDeletehow will you see anything bad in it? you don't talk to people in that manner. especially for the fact that Rufai was misinforming the public. Tinubu did not remove subsidy and that was what that guy explained and he did a fine job explaining but Rufai was hell bent on spewing his hate but yeah, you won't see anything bad until it's you on the hot heat
DeleteYul Edochie, your father is a nice man, one loved by all but you may not be from Pete Edochie. People are still arguing whether indeed pete gave birth to you. Your stupidity is becoming unbecoming. You have no contributions to make in the national polity nor the economy, so stay away from issues that does not concern nollywood.
