The immediate past president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari,
has spoken on life since leaving office earlier this year.
Recall that Buhari handed over the country’s governance to
his party man, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on May 29, 2023.
The former President, who spent eight years in office,
immediately returned to Daura, in Katsina State, where he hails from.
Buhari appeared on Nigerian Television Authority to shed
some light on his administration and life after presidency.
He said he returned to his farm, which according to him, is
also a means of exercise for him.
“I looked for it and I thank God I got it,” Buhari said when
asked how his life has been after leaving the Presidential Villa.
“I came back to my birthplace and now I go to the farm. I go
round the farm.
“I see animals and my stores. There’s a big market on the
border…so I’ve programmed myself so nicely. I wake up when I like and I come
out when I like.”
