President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday departed Abuja, Nigeria
for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he is expected to attend the COP28
Climate Summit.
During the summit scheduled for December 1 and 2, 2023,
Tinubu would deliver an address highlighting Nigeria’s stance on various
thematic issues, including renewable energy and climate financing.
A statement issued on Tuesday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on
Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale said the President will be accompanied by
senior government officials.
The President departed the country a
few hours after presenting the 2024 annual budget to the joint session of the
National Assembly.
