Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab
Emirates (UAE), on Monday played host to President Bola Tinubu in Abu Dhabi.
At the end of the meeting between the two leaders, the UAE
lifted the visa ban imposed on Nigerian travellers.
The meeting was attended by some members of Tinubu’s
cabinet, including Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff; Nuhu Ribadu, national
security adviser; Yusuf Tuggar, minister of foreign affairs; Wale Edun,
minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy; Festus Keyamo,
minister of aviation and Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson.
Also in attendance were Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al
Nahyan, UAE’s vice president, deputy prime minister and minister of the
presidential court; Anwar Gargash, advisor for special affairs at the ministry
of presidential court; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, diplomatic adviser to the
UAE president; Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, minister of state for
international cooperation; Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, minister of economy;
minister of energy and infrastructure; and Abdulrahman Al Awar, minister of
human resources and emiratisation.
