Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of
the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has alleged that former President
Muhammadu Buhari fuelled insecurity in the Southeast by refusing to release the
Biafra agitator.
Ejimakor made the claim while lamenting that President Bola
Tinubu continued the “vicious circle” by refusing to release Kanu.
He pointed out that Kanu’s arrest, rendition, and detention
were part of the agenda to fuel insecurity in the Southeast.
Tweeting, Ejimakor wrote: “Buhari’s rendition/detention of
Nnamdi Kanu and his violent suppression of dissent in Southeast were part of
his broader agenda to fuel insecurity in Igboland.
“It’s baffling that a smarter @officialABAT has allowed this
to continue by not releasing #MNK. It’s a vicious cycle.
“The focus on the judiciary & resort to civil
disobedience for the release of MAZI NNAMDI KANU is only because Britain has
been reluctant to levy her diplomatic clout like it did in the case of the
attempted rendition of Umaru Dikko in 1984. @RishiSunak must rise to the occasion.”
