England goalkeeper, Mary Earps has nothing but praises for Nigeria despite the Three Lionesses victory against the West Africans on Monday morning.
The European champions won the Round of 16 contest 4-2 on penalties after both teams failed to find a target in regular and extra time.
England rode their luck for the majority of the game, especially, in extra-time after Lauren James was sent off late in the second half.
Earps, who was named Player of the Match acknowledged England were not at their best in the game.
The shot-stopper said the Super Falcons were the better of the two teams.
“Nigeria played really, really well and I don’t think we were at our best. We went down to 10 and it was a tough, tough game for us but I’m buzzing we got the job done, “she was quoted by FIFA.com after the game.
