Farida Sobowale, the Nigerian socialite, was on Thursday
prevented from jumping into the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
In a now-viral video, Sobowale, who is the founder of House
of Phreeda, the skincare company, packed her Lexus SUV on the bridge, alighted,
and was about to jump into the lagoon when some persons rescued her.
Clad in a black outfit, the entrepreneur could be seen in
tears while screaming that she should be allowed to jump into the lagoon.
In another clip, Sobowale sat behind the booth of the SUV as
commuters were seen consoling her.
The businesswoman was said to have been taken to a police
station afterward.

In one of the background voices, a passerby said he saw
Sobowale jump out of her car and was moving towards the railings on the bridge.
Some unconfirmed reports claimed that Sobowale is having issues in her marriage.

Why dramatize a suicide plan to inconvenience of the public. Her bath tub would have been sufficient. What's the big deal about social pressures anyway? Remove challenges and life becomes boring.
