President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted an invitation to meet with the United States President, Joe Biden, on the sideline of the United Nations General Assembly meeting.
Aguri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this on Saturday in a statement after a meeting between Tinubu and US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Molly Phee.
Tinubu reiterated that under his leadership, Nigeria will create an enabling environment for private businesses.
He urged the US government to be innovative by creating incentives for its investment in Nigeria.
“Yes, the private sector will lead the way within an enabling environment we create for them. However, the U.S. Government must be innovative and systematically create incentives for U.S. industrial investment in Nigeria. Under my leadership, Nigeria stands ready to address its specific regulatory, tax and environmental concerns. I am determined to create prosperity for all Nigerian families,” he said.
On his part, Phee said the US government is committed to improving incentives for its large-scale investment in Nigeria.
“President Joe Biden is asking to meet with you on the sidelines of UNGA, and you are the only African leader he has requested to meet. It is a mark of his high regard for your leadership,” Phee added.
It was reported that the UNGA 78th session will open on September 12 2023, in New York, United States.

Biden demands to see President Tinubu will not be more than discussions with Nigeria to export more crude oil to the U.S. as a litre of petrol goes fo 3;5 $, and this has never happened in the history of the country. They will tell the president either to sell crude oil under the international price or even free for them. They will promise to back him in whatever actions he takes against Nigerians who criticise him. They will certainly put more pressure on him to do whatever the US instruct him to do or else; . They will dissuade him from joining the BRICS as Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa that have not be admitted, because they don’t have coherent foreign policy, and they know that if Nigeria is accepted to the BRICS today, the US dollar will suffer greatly because Nigeria economy is the most dollarised nation on earth.
