Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the possibility of Mo Salah moving out of Anfield this season.
Despite rumours from Saudi Arabia, Klopp also confirmed that no offer has been received by Liverpool for Salah.
“There is nothing to talk about from our point of view,” Klopp explained when asked about speculation about Salah in his press conference. “We don’t have an offer. Mo Salah is our player. If there was something there, the answer would be ‘no’.”
Klopp also revealed that Curtis Jones and Thiago will not be playing against Newcastle on Sunday but should be back in full training on Monday while Konaté has a minor issue.
Klopp did not say specifically what the injury to Konaté was, other than it was a ‘muscle’ problem and that playing against 10 men against Bournemouth ‘did not help’, but it does not sound like the Frenchman will be missing for too long.
“I have no doubt about the quality of the boys,” Klopp said on his center-backs in the absence of Konaté. “In an ideal world we have eight center halves but it is not dreamland where you can prepare every situation. We have Jarell Quansah as well. At this moment we are covered but it’s not where you can be prepared for every situation. We will do our absolute best.”
