Miss Kamsiyochukwu Nkechinyere Umeh, this year’s Unified
Tertiary Matriculations Examination’s (UTME) authentic highest scorer on Friday
said Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life
Ministry, is her greatest role model on earth.
Umeh, a student of Deeper Life High School, Lagos, founded
in September 2010, by Kumuyi, is the authentic highest scorer at this year’s
UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
nationwide, scoring 360 out of 400.
In an interview on Arise TV’s programme, “The Morning Show,”
on Friday, one of the anchors, Dr. Reuben Abati asked her to speak on two role
models-Ben Carson and Kumuyi.
Umeh, 16, said “Dr Ben Carson is one of my role models,
because in spite of his background and where he came from, he has achieved so
much, I think I have read all his books, ‘Gifted hands,’ ‘Think Big’ and ‘The
big picture’. I have read those three books, and when I read those books, I
feel so inspired, like I want to be like him.
“As for Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, he is my greatest role model,
like he is the proprietor of my school and we have services, Deeper Life
services in my school and anytime he comes up to preach, we are awed by the way
he carries himself, how he is not afraid to say what needs to be said and the
respect people have for him, I have not met him but I will really like to.”
Abati said “Certainly, I am sure Pastor Kumuyi will invite
you as a superstar by promoting his legacy with your distinction.”
At least, 131 students from the Deeper Life High School,
Lagos scored between 300 and above in this year’s UTME.
