Former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus
Keyamo, has attacked the European Union Election Observation Missions, EU-EOM,
report accusing him of propagating fake news days to the 2023 general election
in Nigeria.
Keyamo claimed the report did not deserve his response
because “it was so presumptuous and outside their mandate”.
Recall that the report listed Keyamo and Femi Fani-Kayode,
as part of personalities that spread fake news ahead of the 2023 general
elections.
In a statement via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday,
the former minister also alleged that the EU-EOM report “exposed a deep-seated
bias about how the so-called observers went about their assignment.”
He wrote, “The part of the EU report that asserts that there
was a single incident throughout the whole campaign where I retweeted a news
item by a ‘suspicious website’ does not deserve my response because it is so
presumptuous and outside their mandate and exposes a deep-seated bias about how
the so-called observers went about their assignment. However, for the education
of the gullible and unfortunate ones who are jubilating over such a poor
report, I will say a word or two”.

This man is not dignified to be a senior with what comes from his mouth. He’s so childish and unpolished to be a respected lawyer. Why’s that Nigeria has people with unimaginable characters - arrogant, dubious, infantile, desperate with corrupt mind. Why can’t Nigeria have people who are diplomatic in their reasoning and on how to talk, respect and be silent when necessary. This is unbelievable and totally unacceptable for a nation to continue with such people to manage the affairs of the country . There must be character and diplomatic tests before someone or a lawyer can be attributed the title SAN. This’s what is going on in the military and police where you have more than Generals and more AIGP in their respective services. They need to be filtered before getting to have those status. How can forces that have not confronted ordinary riot in the streets be promoted to the ranks of General or Assistants General Of Police. It’s only Nigeria it can happen, because, Senators will need their cousins promoted, the traditional rulers will also want his nephew promoted etc etc
