Gaius Chibueze, the Nigerian entrepreneur, has offered to
sponsor Ejikeme Mmesoma to any school of her choice in Canada, UK, and US.
Since the release of the 2023 UTME results, Mmesoma, a
student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra has been
attracting accolades from many Nigerians for allegedly being “the top scorer”.
But on Sunday, JAMB alleged that she manipulated her result
to “deceive the public to fraudulently obtain a scholarship and other
recognitions”.
The exam body said the student “actually got 249 in the exam
and not 362” as widely assumed.
The board also withdrew her result and suspended her from
partaking in UTME for the next three years.
But Mmesoma dismissed the forgery allegation against her.
Addressing the matter in a Twitter post, Chibueze said he
will work together with his company to fund Mmesoma’s education up to the
master’s level.
“I and our company

in the UK, Canada or the United States of America,” he wrote on Twitter.

Innocent Chukwuma, the founder of Innoson Motors, had
previously awarded N3 million scholarship to the student.
The automobile company, however, said the scholarship would
be withdrawn if she is found guilty of the forgery allegation.
