The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has said it is exploring ways to strengthen collaborations with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to boost service delivery to Nigerians.
The move was announced in a statement by the Registrar of TRCN, Prof Josiah Ajiboye, on Monday while on inspection at the new Computer Based Test (CBT) facilities built by JAMB in the Kaduna metropolis.
Ajiboye was joined by Prof Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of JAMB, for the inspection.
He said the move is in the spirit of inter-agency partnership in Nigeria’s Ministry of Education.
According to Ajiboye, the new 1000-seater CBT centre was recently commissioned by the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
“Each of the CBT halls has a withholding room that can seat 250 candidates at a time, and the centre has a big parking lot that can accommodate hundreds of cars,” he said.
He noted that the visit, which was at the instance of the JAMB registrar, was aimed at forging a stronger partnership between TRCN and JAMB, with TRCN using the new facilities for professional qualifying examinations and digital training programmes.
