Senate President Godswill Akpabio has canvassed for maximum
patience, understanding, and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the
quest to make life more meaningful under the present administration.
Akpabio made the call in his Eid el-Kabir message to
Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah.
The message he personally signed reads in part: “I
especially rejoice with our dear President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he celebrates
the first Eid-el-Kabir as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I also congratulate the Vice President, Senator Kashim
Shettima, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila,
on the occasion of the celebrations of an important pillar of Islam.
“As we join our Muslim brethren to observe this day, the
essence of the season, which underscores our submission to the will of the
Almighty God and the importance of sacrifice in our daily life, should not be
lost on us.
“I salute the resilience and patriotism of Nigerians in the
face of the current challenges facing our nation. We should all see it as part
of the process of nation-building.
“In just a few weeks since his inauguration, President
Tinubu has taken some bold steps which have been globally acclaimed as being in
the right direction.
“Even though the measures bring with them some
inconveniences, I earnestly appeal to fellow Nigerians to look at the larger
picture of the expected outcomes, be patient with the new government, and give
it their full support to take Nigeria out of the woods.
“The 10th National Assembly will do its utmost to provide
President Tinubu-led government complementary support through necessary
legislative interventions for the benefit of Nigerians.
“We will, in the process, ensure inclusivity, fairness, and
justice for Nigerians through legislation.”

Akpabio, were you patient with gunning for Senate presidency? Is Tinubu not the APC candidate that promised to hit the ground running as soon as he wins? Could it be that he was not as usual ready? Why are we going to be patient if he Tinubu could not exercise patience in plunging us back to misery and suffer we just thought was over with Buhari? Well, i am not surprised bcos Tinubu did say that he will continue from where Buhari stopped and INEC knew where Buhari stopped but decided to rob nigerians once more. Just blame the other man.
ReplyDeleteWe are very patient with him and praying for you guys to succeed bcs your success as leaders is our success. Though we are suffering bcs of fuel subsidy removal but it's the hard way the only way. We prayo God to get us a way out. You guys should ensure refineries resume work as. Immediately as possible. No palliative will work. Palliative is a waste of resources bcs only those responsible for its distribution and their relatives will benefit. Increase of salary is not a solution bcs inflation will consume the increase besides state and LG workers will not benefit even if all nigrn budget will be given to our govs bcs of their greediness. Do you know in my state Directors are earning less than 100k?
