The Oluwo of Iwo, Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has described the political ordeal of newly sworn-in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as leverage for renewed hope.
The Osun monarch also stated that those hurdles that stood in his way will strengthen his administration and favour all Nigerians.
Oba Akanbi made this known on Monday in a congratulatory message to President Tinubu on his inauguration as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Oluwo called on the nation’s patriots, traditional rulers, stakeholders, politicians, opinion and religious leaders to rally support for the new president in the interest of Nigeria and her people.
“I want to congratulate all Nigerians most especially the new President, His Excellency, President Ahmed Tinubu and those who trust in the greatness of this country.
“I’m optimistic about the hope, a renewed one. Of all the preceding governments of our dear nation, President Ahmed Tinubu is the most prepared. He has the key to our economy, education, security, social and health challenges. The hope of 1993 has been renewed.
“I call on all patriots- traditional rulers, politicians, religious leaders, opinion leaders etc to rally round the president. The best expected from every reasonable Nigerian is our support. Let’s rally round him to get the best out of our system.”
Oluwo appealed to aggrieved politicians to be calm as he equally urged the new president to extend the olive branch.
While expressing optimism on quality dividends of democracy for all Nigerians, he appealed to aggrieved politicians to be calm as Tinubu’s preparedness and knowledge of Nigeria’s challenges is unprecedented.
He equally urged the new president to extend the olive branch to all political adversaries.
