New Zealander-Nigerian mixed martial artiste, Israel Adesanya was given a heroic welcome in New Zealand after reclaiming his UFC Middleweight title.
It was reported that Adesanya knocked out long-term rival, Alex Pereira at UFC 287 on April 9, 2023, to reclaim his crown, which he lost to the Brazilian last year.
Following his triumph, the Last Stylebender was thrilled with Haka Dance in New Zealand recently.
In a video making the rounds on the internet, Adesanya was seen receiving a special welcome from thousands of New Zealanders.
This comes after the mixed martial artiste declared his parents’ home country of Nigeria “a very corrupt place”.
While featuring as a guest on the Hot Boxin podcast, Adesanya said he loves Nigerians, but the country’s leaders are desperate to siphon public funds.
