Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, has congratulated elder statesman, Chief Emmanuel
Iwuanyanwu for emerging President -General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Recall that Iwuanyanwu replaced the late Prof. George
Obiozor.
A delegation of the Imo Elders Council led by the Chairman,
HRM Eze (Dr.) Cletus Ilomuanya, presented Iwuanyanwu to Imo State Governor,
Hope Uzodimma, on Wednesday, at the Government House, Owerri.
Reacting, Atiku on his Twitter page said Iwuanyanwu is
eminently positioned and qualified to lead the apex Ndigbo organisation.
“I urge him to use his good office to strengthen national
integration and Igbo unity in a manner that has not been seen since after the
Nigerian civil war.
“I am optimistic that Chief Iwuanyanwu will make the desired
impact, considering his political grit and sagacity, and as one whose aura and
influence reverberates across the length and breadth of Nigeria.”
