Three weeks after the 25th February Presidential election,
Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party, has opened up on the Presidential
Election Petitions Tribunal.
During a Channels Television Interview on Thursday morning, Peter Obi expressed confidence in the Judiciary.
“I am confident in the judiciary. I am because I had stayed
in court for three years when people said you couldn’t become a governor
through the Court, and I became the first (to reclaim a stolen mandate),” he
said.
Peter Obi was dissatisfied with the results the Independent
National Electoral Commission announced, declaring Bola Ahmed Tinubu the All
Progressives Congress election winner.
The former governor has approached the election tribunal
claiming he won the election.
Similarly, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party
has also approached the Court, claiming victory.
The President-elect, Tinubu, has expressed commitment to
defending his victory at the polls.
