The Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu on Thursday, told the
Labour Party candidate for the Saturday governorship election in the state,
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour that the incumbent governor and candidate of the All
Progressives Congress, APC, Babajid Sanwo-Olu will win the poll.
The traditional ruler made the remark when Rhodes-Vivour
better called GRV, his father and his campaign team visited the Oba at his
palace in Iga-Iduganran, Lagos State.
According to the Oba of Lagos, God has ordained Sanwo-Olu to
rule the state for another four years.
He said, “I declared my support for Sanwo-Olu because I
believe in him and the Lord has said it is Sanwo-Olu who will win. For you
Gbadebo, the future is open to us. God will not kill you, there is nothing
wrong in you contesting. All of those contesting are my children.
“God should help us to make the state better. When Sanwo-Olu
wins, the government will involve all of us”.
