Toyin Abraham, the Nollywood actress, has reaffirmed her
support for Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives
Congress (APC).
The actress took to her social media handles to share photos
of herself with the former Lagos governor.
The movie star revealed she is meeting Tinubu for the first
time.
The filmmaker said listening to the APC presidential
candidate’s “ideas, visions, and strategy to solve Nigeria’s challenges,”
renewed her hope and reaffirmed why she endorsed Tinubu.
“For the first time,
I met the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and he shared
some of his Ideas, Visions and Strategy to solve the challenges before us, as a
Nation,” she wrote.
“Listening to him indeed renewed my hope and reaffirmed why
he is my choice. Jagaban is coming!”

Last month, the film star came under social media criticism
after she said she may vote for Tinubu.
Toyin, however, fired back at her critics, saying “I didn’t
collect any money” from the APC presidential candidate.
“If anybody curses me
or swears at me, it can’t affect me because I didn’t collect money. Only those
that took money will be affected,” she said.
“I, Oluwatoyin, I didn’t collect money neither did I
campaign for anyone.
“Nobody can pay me. I’m making my money, I sell my movies in
cinemas, I sell them on platforms, I’m making my money and I’m fine. The point
is to choose your candidate and don’t bully me.”
Nigerians will go to the polls on February 25 to elect a new
president. A total of 18 candidates will participate in the presidential
election.
But four candidates are leading the race for the election.
They include Tinubu, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP),
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of
the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
