The candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi is leading in the results so far released at the Edo State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin City.
The results from 15 out of the total of 18 local government areas that make up the state indicated that the LP has scored a total of 290,025 votes while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has garnered 98,314 votes and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), 69,268 votes.
