Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided an update on his team for the derby with Manchester City at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The manager spoke at a press conference to preview the much-anticipated Old Trafford encounter.
According to Ten Hag, prospective loan signing Wout Weghorst will not be available, although he admitted a deal with Burnley for the striker is “close.”
Diogo Dalot was withdrawn during the first half of the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Charlton Athletic, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka taking his place.
“I think Diogo Dalot is not available, and Anthony Martial, he trained this morning, so we have to wait to see how he recovers from this training and if he’s available. We will make the decision tomorrow.
Weghorst was not signed before the deadline to play in the derby.
“Weghorst wasn’t available in the last weeks, and it could be a bonus if he was,” added Ten Hag.
He also revealed that Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek are both set to be out.
