Basketball legend LeBron James has given his opinion on the growing rivalry between two Paris Saint-Germain stars, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, as both players go toe to toe at the 2022 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.
Messi scored one and provided an assist to take his tally to five as Argentina beat Croatia 3-0 to book a passage to the final of the tournament.
Mbappe has also netted five times in the competition as France cruised to the final after beating Morocco.
Messi and Mbappe will slug it out for the tournament’s Golden Boot as both players keep grabbing the headlines ahead of the much-anticipated game.
The LA Lakers superstar was asked to choose between the two superstars, and James refused to take sides.
The four-time NBA Most Valuable Player said that, just like everyone else, he hopes to see a great game between Argentina and France.
After the Lakers’ 126-108 win over the Denver Nuggets, James said, as quoted by Daily Mail, “I’m not gonna choose. I just wanna see a great match like the rest of the world…
“It’s gonna be a great one, and I look forward to seeing two of the greatest to ever play that sport go at it.”
