The presidency says
a documentary on Muhammadu Buhari will start airing from January 1.
Garba Shehu, presidential spokesperson, said this in a
statement on Saturday.
Shehu said the one-hour documentary titled ‘Essential Muhammadu
Buhari’ will be aired first on TVC, Channels TV and NTA on January 1 at 4:30pm,
6pm and 8pm respectively.
The film is said to be a capture of the president’s “mind, life and philosophy” delivered “through his own words, and by some family members, friends and associates”.
“’Essential Muhammadu
Buhari,’ the one-hour documentary about President Muhammadu Buhari, his mind,
life and philosophy will start showing on TV and YouTube. It’s a filmic
portrait of the President told in his own words, and by some family members,
friends and associates,” the statement reads.
Other TV stations to air the documentary include Arise TV on
January 2 by 5pm and by 6pm on Trust TV on the same day.
AIT will also air the film on January 2 by 8pm.
A snippet from the documentary was seen where Buhari revealed that he did not find the
“Jubril of Sudan” joke about him funny.
In 2017, a documentary entitled ‘The Human Side of President
Buhari’ aired on television.
The 55-minute video, put together by the media and publicity
department of the state house, had ministers, aides of the president and other
members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) talking about their views on
Buhari’s management style, reception to counsel and his major strengths.
