Arik Air has announced the resumption of daily flight
operations to Owerri, Imo state capital, from both Lagos and Abuja airports.
In a statement on Tuesday, the airline said the flight
service would commence from November 28, 2022.
Arik Air added that it would resume four weekly flights from
Abuja to Kano on the same date.
The company said outbound flights from Lagos to Owerri will
operate from the Murtala Muhammed Airport domestic terminal 1 (otherwise known
as GAT), while the outbound flights from Abuja will operate from Nnamdi Azikiwe
International Airport terminal B.
It explained that the resumption of flights to Owerri and
Kano was aimed at enabling its customers to celebrate the festive season with
families and friends as well as have a safe and peaceful yuletide.
Speaking on the development, Roy Ilegbodu, chief executive
officer of Arik Air, said: “We are happy to extend our services once again to
the good people of Imo and Kano states as they prepare for the yuletide
season.”
“They have been yearning for our services knowing that they are in good hands anytime they fly Arik Air.”
